The 7 smallest countries in the world
The world is so big, bigger than what we thought. When we ask people about this, some will only say Singapore . But geography shows that there are countries very small that no less than 50000 people can live in comfortably!! Smallest countries are mostly in Europe, the Caribbean, and Oceania, but the majority of countries less than 50000 people living in is in the Oceania with only some larger than 50000 . Here are the following:

1. Vatican City(0.44km2)
Vatican City is located within city of Rome in Italy. The country is too small that the population is only 1000 and it has Catholic Church and Saint Peter's Basilica, the largest church in the world. Roman Catholic Church has about 1 billion members and the income mostly comes from there.

2. Monaco(2km2)
Monaco which is also called the principality of Monaco. Unbelievably, this Sovereign country has largest amount of millionaires and billionaires in the world in terms of its gdp per capita. With billions of euros as GDP and less than fifty thousand people, gdp per capita is around 25000 euros.

3. Nauru(21km2)
Nauru is located in east of Australia and in the Oceania continent. It is nearest to Banaba Island in Kiribati . It is known as the smallest Republic in the world. Its capital city is Yaren and surprisingly, has the highest level of type 2 diabetes in the world

4. Tuvalu(26km2)
Tuvalu is a Polynesian Island in Oceania, made up of three reef islands and six true atolls which spread west of the IDL. Strangely, this country has only one hospital and 8 km of road!!

5. San Marino(61km2)
San Marino is a country surrounded by Italy, similar to Vatican City, however, the main difference is that San Marino is completely surrounded by Italy by sea, while Vatican City is surrounded by Italy by land. It has the smallest population of 33000 before Vatican City and after Monaco, which has 38000. San Marino is the oldest constitutional republic and the oldest surviving sovereign state. Amazingly, it is one of the richest countries in Europe in terms of gdp per capita and its economy are very stable.

6. Liechtenstein(160km2)
Liechtenstein is situated between Switzerland and Austria, and is the only German speaking country in the Alps. Naturally, the country is densely mountainous. This fourth smallest country in Europe has the population of 37000. Liechtenstein is the richest country in the world in terms of gdp per capita with the lowest unemployment rate of 1.5% roughly.

7. Marshall Islands(181km2)
This country has the lowest mass area with also the lowest population. Total population is 53000 and has more than a thousand islands.
